HelperHour collects as little as it needs to connect homeowners with independent cleaners. We don't sell personal information, and we don't use advertising trackers.

Homeowners

When you send a request we collect your name, email, optional phone number, the date, time and type of cleaning, your home size and any notes. After you confirm your email, we send these to the cleaner you chose so they can reply to you directly. We email you when the cleaner answers, and we may send a short follow-up if a request goes unanswered.

Cleaners

We collect your email to sign you in, plus the profile you create: your name as you want it shown, city, ZIP code, prices, services, hours, bio, optional phone number and photos. Your profile becomes public only after you opt in and we approve it. Your phone number is shown only if you turn that on. Your email is never shown publicly.

Photos

Photos are resized in your browser, and location and camera data are removed before they're stored. Photos on a live profile are public. You can remove them at any time from your dashboard.

Usage counts

We count profile views and taps on call and text buttons per cleaner per day so cleaners can see their demand. These counts store no IP address, cookie or visitor identifier.

Cookies

We set one cookie, only for cleaners who sign in, to keep you signed in. Homeowners browsing the site get no cookies from HelperHour.

Service providers

HelperHour runs on Cloudflare, which hosts the site and database, sends our email and provides the Turnstile check that keeps bots out of request forms. Cloudflare processes data on our behalf.

How long we keep it

• Homeowner contact details and notes on a request are removed 12 months after the requested cleaning date.
• Requests never confirmed by email are closed after 48 hours.
• Cleaner profiles are kept until the cleaner asks us to delete them.
• Sign-in links expire after use or within 7 days; sessions expire after 30 days.

Your choices

Email hello@helperhour.com to see, correct or delete your information. Cleaners can unlist their profile at any time by turning off public listing.

Children

HelperHour is not for anyone under 18.
